Ever wanted to play poker on the go? Have an Apple device but you can’t be bothered to use a mobile internet stick and pop your MacBook out to play some poker? Well this might be your chance. Now SwitchPoker, a relatively unknown site offers real-money poker for Apple mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad.

The site is meant to be used on an iPad, hence, SwitchPoker acknowledged that users might face some problems using the iPhone. They offer only no-limit hold’em cash games at six-max tables at the moment, but the company plans to provide more games, such as heads-up ring games, full ring games, sit and go single table tournaments, multi-table tournaments, limit hold’em cash games, and pot-limit Omaha games. However, the release date of such services is not public yet.

SwitchPoker‘s real-money play was introduced last Friday, when the site offered free money (€10) to the first 250 users, so I’m guessing you might be a little late for that. By the way, if you ask me, I find the site to be a bit raw and simplistic, but the company ensured the players that they use secure connections and a proper random number generator, so I’m guessing the core under the primitive hood is OK.

If you have an Apple device, you might want to give it a try, find the site at www.switchpoker.com
