Australian professional poker player Jackie Glazier was the last lady to be eliminated in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. She is now leaving Ivey Poker, while you can track her progress in the ME at ESPN from this week.

Jackie Glazier

Jackie Glazier from Wantirna, Australia is a poker professional and she also happened to be the last lady standing in the WSOP 2013 Main Event. She made it all the way through to the top 68 participants of Day 6 of the tournament, where she eventually got all-in against IPT San Remo champion and EPT 2012 Grand Final 4th finisher Sergio Castelluccio. Glazier held A:s Q:s but Castelluccio had T:h T:d and the board gave him a full house, nines over tens.

Glazier busted out in 31st place for $229,281, making her total live winnings a handsome $919,957. To date, she has been a member of Phil Ivey‘s Ivey Poker team but she leaves now; with a sponsorship agreement with Team 888Poker, she will participate in the WSOP Europe in Paris and further events, boasting the room’s colours.

She is joining a set of renowned poker and sports professionals in the team, like WSOP 2011 November Nine member Sam Holden, her fellow countryman cricketer Shane Warne, as well as WSOP champion Tyler Bonkowski.

In related news, you can watch now Glazier’s performance in this year’s World Series, thanks to ESPN. The sports broadcast channel kicked off its coverage of WSOP 2013 this Tuesday, following Daniel Negreanu’s progress at the WSOP-APAC Main Event Final Table. Next week, you can witness the action of the WSOP National Championship finale, with the participation of the likes of Jeremy Ausmus, Joe Tehan, Brock Parker or Max Steinberg.

Finally, from 6 August through 29 October, you get the essence of the excitement of the WSOP Main Event with the virtually live broadcast of the November Nine on 4 November at the peak of the coverage series. The fate of the single most coveted golden bracelet of all will be decided on Tuesday, 5 November, with the final three playing in front of the cameras.
