Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman won multi-table tournaments in three different poker rooms in recent days, further improving his record of Triple Crown titles held.
British poker ace Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman holds two major online MTT records: first, he is the one to win the most in online tournaments in poker history and, second, he acquired PocketFives’ Triple Crown title the most frequently. He passed the $10 million lifetime winnings milestone in late September and he once again broke his own record of Triple Crown titles just recently.
On 28 September, he took down the bwin $200 NLHE $30k GTD tournament for $9,652, the PokerStars $109 NLHE Turbo event for $5,636 on 29 September and the PokerStars.fr Big €50 tournament for $2,296 on 5 October.
How the Triple Crown is earned:
- A player must win three multi-table tournaments, each of which start within the same seven day period across three of any of the sites we track for P5er cashes.
- Each tournament must have a prize pool of at least $10K.
- Each tournament must have at least 100 players.
- Satellite tournaments do not count.
- Wins must be verified by the PocketFives.com staff from data collected from the sites themselves.
Moorman is still followed on the leaderboard by Hungarian online MTT regular ‘Belabacsi’ with 11 titles.

Earlier this year, the British pro has announced that he wanted to take over the lead on the online MTT money list by the end of 2013. He currently ranks 7th but he is only a couple of points short of the 4th position. However, besting Calvin ‘cal42688’ Anderson and grabbing the 1st finish is an entirely different matter.
