We recently stumbled upon a company called PokerFuel, which claims to have created dietary supplements that will help you with your poker game, tilt control, and to win money, of course!
PokerFuel claims that their product is "…created by poker players, for poker players." They say that by consuming proper nutrition, you could overcome issues like sleep problems or "over aggressive play". PokerFuel products claim to give you optimised brain functions, improved health and a "greater mental edge" which will result in higher winnings.
For a product like this to be taken seriously and to become popular it needs to be promoted by healthy poker players like Jason Koon and Eugene Katchalov who always talk about healthy lifestyle and the importance of exercise, and it’s quite hard to imagine them representing something with the "secret supplement that will make you super strong" gimmick that is so common in bodybuilding.
Poker players know that winning comes at the expense of hours and hours of studying, and health problems are not going to be solved by a shaker full of vitamins either.
Only time will tell whether PokerFuel is going to be successful, but the website design and the "take these pills and all your problems will be solved" attitude on the website and promotions suggest otherwise.
(Note: This is not an endorsement or paid promotion about PokerFuel products in any way.)
