The Sunday Million, a $215 tournament that runs every weekend on PokerStars with a $1 million guarantee is now 9 years old. To celebrate the anniversary of the Million, PokerStars will host a $9 million guaranteed special edition of the tournament on March 8 with at least $1 million going to the winner.
A total of 45,000 players need to enter the tournament to meet the guarantee (the buy-in is $200+$15) and there will be plenty of satellites with buy-ins starting from $1 or 50 FPPs. There are also going to be Deadline Satellites with 1,000 seats ($11 buy-in) and 333 seats guaranteed ($33 buy-in).
The biggest Sunday Million so far was held in 2011 when PokerStars celebrated their 10th birthday. A total of 62,000 players entered the tournament, creating a prizepool of $12.4 million.

Team PokerStars Pro Lex Veldhuis said the following about the event:
"There are few tournaments that cannot be missed but the Sunday Million Anniversary tournament is definitely one of these. To win $1 million from just $215 or even less (satellites) is an unbelievable opportunity. I’ll be at the tables and I hope I can make a big score."
