Dong "Donger Kim" Kim is currently in the lead after the 9th session against Nick "TCfromUB" Frame in their Heads-up challenge. The challenge is nearing its last third with 9,176 hands played from 15,000. Donger Kim currently has a $47,807 lead but there were several 10 buy-in swings in the last session, so the battle is far from over.
As we have previously reported, Donger Kim started off the challenge with a quick lead, he went up to $45,000 in profits, but TCfromUB managed to climb back and decrease the profits to $5,000 after session five (5113 hands played). The two players have played four times since.
Session 6 took place on February 18 and Donger won a small amount, he was up $5317 after 6.117 hands.
Session 7 followed the next day, Donger managed to increase his profits to $25.268 after 7157 hands.
TCfromUB managed to climb back in Session 8, he decreased Dongers profits to $21.583 with 8.162 hands played.
Session 9 went pretty bad for TCfromUB however, Donger managed to increase his total profits to $47,807 after 9176 hands.
TCfromUB stated that he believes Donger is a favorite at this point but the swings are big and anything can happen.
