PokerStars has rolled out their sports betting platform and has already accepted the first sports bets in selected markets, and the company is planning to have the sportsbook available worldwide by the end of 2015. Amaya CEO David Baazov also talked about the introduction of Daily Fantasy Sports by the time the 2015 NFL season starts, and has stated that PokerStars is expected to launch in New Jersey in Q3 of 2015.

Amaya Gaming, the company behind PokerStars has always clearly stated their intentions of expanding the company’s services, and after the recently introduced casino games, they have successfully rolled out their sportsbook in select markets and the first bets have already been accepted.

Amaya aims to keep its customers on the same site whether they want to play poker, gamble at casino games, or make sports bets, and the company is not done yet, they are planning to launch a Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) section also. 

David Baazov, the CEO of Amaya has never given a set date for PokerStars’ launch in New Jersey until now, he believes that the licensing issues will soon be worked out and that they plan to launch in New Jersey in Q3 of 2015, which means that by fall, US poker players could once again be playing on the worlds biggest poker site.

Baazov also talked about international markets, he believes that the game is most likely to grow in South America and Asia, and they are working together with California and Pennsylvania legislators and hope to enter those markets aswell.

Baazov also stated that Amaya aims at doubling online poker business within the next five years, and will focus on expanding into new markets, increasing the company’s promotion and marketing as well as bringing poker innovations to the players.
