Day 1 chip leader Jose Carlos Garcia finished on top of the leaderboards again at the EPT Grand Final Main Event, building a stack of 1.710.000, which is a massive lead over Connor Drinan, who is sitting in second place with a 1.065.000 stack. There are 34 players left and the field is stacked with stars, Scott Clements, Ole Schemion, Dario Sammartino and Johnny Lodden are all in the top 10, but Jason Mercier, Stephen Chidwick, Mustapha Kanit and Isaac Haxton are still in contest aswell. 114 players returned for Day 3 of the EPT Grand Final Main Event, the chip leader was Ole Schemion with 477.700 chips, but Jason Mercier, Vanessa Selbst, Sergio Aido and other big names were still in aswell.
The plan for the day was to play five 90-minute levels and to reach the paying spots. Eric Sfez finished as the bubble boy after his K-K failed to hold up against Jason Mercier’s 2-2 in a preflop all-in.
After the bubble burst Nicolas Chouity, Steve O’Dwyer, Dan Smith, Maria Ho, Eugene Katchalov, Jason Wheeler, Artur Koren, Dimitar Danchev, Brian Roberts, Dzmitry Urbanovich were eliminated amongst others.
The biggest stack by the end of the day was Jose Carlos Garcia, he built his stack to 1.710.000, which will be 170 big blinds at the start of Day 4. Connor Drinan, Scott Clements, Dario Sammartino and Ole Schemion are in the top 10, and the rest of the field is stacked aswell, with Mustapha Kanit, Stephen Chidwick, Adrian Mateos, Felix Stephensen, Isaac Haxton and Fabrice Soulier still in.
