During the build-up to the grudge match between Cate Hall and Mike Dentale “The King of Instagram” Dan Bilzerian decided to chime in with a negative generalization about women in poker.
The infamous playboy has since deleted the tweet that read “I don’t even know who you’re playing, but I want to bet against you because you are a woman and women can’t play poker.” The post sparked controversy online, however, so it lives on in the many articles and posts written about it.
The direct target of the tweet, Hall did not get outraged, but suggested that Bilzerian’s account may have been hacked sarcastically and went on to beat Dentale in the heads-up game by a wide margin.
Bilzerian got into some hot water earlier this month too when he tweeted a picture of himslef with topless models to celebrate International Women’s Day with the message "be thankful, they’re good for so many things!"
