More than two years after leaving PokerStars, Ike found another online poker room, in Partypoker, which he can call home.

The widely respected online and live pro joined the biggest the pro team of the biggest poker room back in 2012. After spending four years at the site, he left PokerStars in January 2016, because of ethical reasons.

Haxton left PokerStars as a protest

Since he left the site, Haxton criticised his former sponsor because of their "unethical behaviour". PokerStars famously cut their loyalty system, which resulted in protests in the whole poker community. Ike was one of the loudest critics, he even wrote an article about his opinion on the subject.

In the last two years, Ike was a freelancer, he continued travelling – and crushing – the live tournament circuit, accumulating more than $5 million since 2016. Now it looks like the increasingly growing Partypoker had an offer for Ike, which he found satisfying. “I am very excited to be joining the partypoker team," said Haxton. "I’ve been very impressed with their growth over the last year or so. From expanding their online cash game and tournament offerings, to improving their software, and most of all rolling out their ambitious and innovative live events program, their commitment to growing the game and providing a great product for their players has been clear." – he added.

Ike joins a prestigious group of top-notch players with the likes of Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard or longtime friend Jason Koon. Haxton has no reason to be ashamed of since with his more than $16 million in live and $3 million in online earnings, he’s likely one of the most winningest players in the community.

Partypoker is also very happy with the latest member of their pro team: "We are delighted that Isaac is joining us at partypoker," said Tom Waters, Managing Director of the site. "Isaac’s profile and experience makes him a perfect ambassador for the company. Over the years he has also demonstrated a real commitment to principles and will play a key role in helping us meet and exceed player expectations." – he added.

Partypoker apparently goes even harder on their goal, to be the Number 1. force in the poker industry. Their $15,000,000 POWERFEST is happening at the moment and they’ll host the biggest ever online tournament later this year. As Ike said: "I’m truly proud to represent the company, which I believe is going to be the future of poker, online and live."
