Online high-stakes legend, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom took down Partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany for €850,000 thanks to a call, which might be the sickest hero call in the history of the series.

The €5,300 Main Event attracted 1,022 players, who generated a total prize pool of €5,110,000. Live and online crushers were all in the field, which is not surprising, considering the €1,000,000 original first prize. The field reduced to only 13 for the final day, all of them locking up at least €35,000 for their deep run. Spanish high-roller regular, Adrian Mateos, Partypoker Ambassador, Joao Simao and the legendary Viktor Blom were all amongst the last 13.

Even though he doubled up early, Adrian was unable to build a healthy stack and was busted in 12th place, worth €40,000. He was followed by Yoann Vu-van (11th; €40,000), Gianluca Speranza (10th; €40,000), and Yiannis Liperis (9th; €50,000), so the official final table was set. Ondrej Drozd from the Czech Republic started the final table with a comfortable chip lead and he was even able to increase it. It looked like he was in charge for a while, but a huge bluff he ran against Pavel Plesuv crippled him and was sent to the rail in 6th place. He earned €140,000 for his efforts.

Radoslaw Wesierski from Poland got 5th when he called the shove of Partypoker online qualifier, Rickie Silcock. The two shortest stacks on the table turned up their cards, with Radoslaw leading with Ace-nine of spades against the Jack-four of diamonds. However, Silcock picked up a flush draw on the flop, which gave him the mathematical lead and was able to spike another diamond on the river to bust Wesierski. The Polish player earned €200,000 for his efforts, which is by far his biggest score ever since he only had about $9,000 in total earnings prior to this event.

After several highs and lows, Joao Simao found himself out of the tournament in 4th place. He shoved his last few chips into the middle with Jack-nine suited, but was no good against the Ace-eight of Blom’s. Joao earned €280,000 for his performance, which increased his total earnings for the LIVE MILLIONS Germany up to €640,000. He was the runner-up in of the two €25K High Rollers for €251,250 and got 4th in the other for €110,000.

Half an hour later, Rickie Silcock was eliminated in a cooler situation. Rickie turned trips against Pavel Plesuv, but the latter hit his gutshot on the river and Rickie had to settle for 3rd place. He qualified for the tournament in a $109 online satellite at Partypoker, so he and his loud friends – who were supporting him all the way during the final table – are certainly satisfied with the €400,000 payday.

Pavel started the duel with the chip lead, but Viktor was able to take the lead thanks to his aggressive style. However, in an unfortunate hand, Viktor lost a vast majority of his chips and was in a 1-to-9 chip disadvantage. But he is a legend for a reason! He made a double up with Ace-King against the King-sever of Pavel’s and regained the chip lead shortly after.

The final hand started with Isildur1 opening from the button with ♥K♦6 and Pavel defended from the big blind, holding ♦Q♦7. The flop came down in the form of ♦K♥Q♥9. Viktor continued, Pavel called. The ♥A hit the turn and Plesuv checked call a bet from Blom once more. On the ♥5 river the Moldovan made a surprising move, he shoved all-in for almost the size of the pot. Blom went deep into the tank, shaking his head several times. He only had Pavel covered by two big blinds, so this decision was basically for the whole tournament.

After contemplating the hand, he said the words, which the whole world wanted to hear: "I call". Pavel turned their cards up in a rather disappointed fashion and Viktor humbly received the high-fives and hugs from his rail.
