The three biggest stacks have over 80% of the total chips in play, while the rest is sitting quite short. Can the defending champ go back to back?
The 2018 Super High Roller Bowl is down to its final six players, all of them guaranteed for at least a $900,000 payday. Day1 and Day2 chip leaders, Daniel Negreanu and Justin Bonomo both managed to reserve big stacks.
Two of the remaining players also have a chance to cross the $10 million mark in winnings this year. With $8.9M in total earnings from 2018, Bonomo only needs to catch the 5th place to achieve this spectacular goal, while Jason Koon needs to take down the whole thing, to join the exclusive group.
Even though he’s the shortest stack now, with only 18 blinds, Chris Vogelsang still has a chance to become the first ever back-to-back champion of the SHRB. US pro, Nick Patrengelo has 600,000 or 24 bb’s, meaning he also needs to get off to a flying start. As mentioned before, Jason Koon is still in, with a relatively comfortable stack of 1,185,000, but considering that Justin Bonomo, Daniel Negreanu, and Mikita Badziakouski all have around 4 million, Jason will also have some work to do.
Despite having a massive stack early in the day, Stephen Chidwick had to settle for the 7th place good for $600,000, while Seth Davies received a compensation money of $90,000 for finishing 8th. This time it was Steffen Sontheimer who had the ungrateful role of the bubble boy.
