Some of the biggest stars of the game are still in the hunt for the $5.1 million first prize.

"This is definitely a good tournament to run well in."

Day3 ended in the biggest-ever $25K tournament, with US pro, Scott Baumstein on the top of the leaderboard, with 4,240,000 followed closely by UK’s Yiannis Liperis, who accumulated 4,210,000.

"It feels good," said Baumstein about his position. "This is definitely a good tournament to run well in."

"I was chipping up pretty much all day. I lost an all-in near the end then made a run at it and won a big flip versus Farid [Jattin]. I was actually surprised he was as strong as he was, but it worked out for me."

Indeed, the historical tournament, which rewards the top five spots with seven-figure prizes can change the life of many. There are still 9 Platinum Pass winners in, and winning the tournament would be a dream come true for almost all of them.

Ramon Colillas, Adrian Samu, Atanas Pavlov, Marc Rivera, Michael Roboniek and Jacqueline Burkhart are all unfamiliar with sky-high stakes, unlike the 9th Platinum Pass winner still in, Mikita Badziakouski. One of the best high-roller regulars today has amassed more than $20 million in tournament earnings in the past 2 years.

Most of the well-known faces have already been busted, but many reached the money. Bill Perkins, Dylan Linde, Christoph Vogelsang, Ryan Riess, Sam, Luc, and Max Greenwood were all amongst the players who busted during Day3 and could walk to the cage to pick up some cash.

Griffin "checkyourprivilege" Benger still grinding

Some notables, however, are still in with the likes of Talal Shakerchi, Griffin Benger, Dan O’Brien, Tony Gregg, Kristen Bicknell or Marvin Rettenmaier.

All of them are guaranteed for at least an $86,400 payday, but they can reach even bigger heights when the action continues with Day4 at noon local time on Wednesday at the blinds of 20,000/40,000/40,000.
