According to Bilzerian’s Twitter account, Bill Perkins bet him $1.2 million to ride from Los Angeles to Las Vegas (a total length of more than 278 miles/447 kilometres) in 48 hours.
Bill Perkins confirmed the bet on his own Twitter account, according to him Bilzerian has to ride from the entrance of his home to Las Vegas, which is 320 miles (515 kilometres) according to Google Maps.
The opinions on the difficulty of the bet have differed, some have stated that this is easy money for Bilzerian, while others believe that he is way too confident in his abilities and that the trip would only be possible if he didn’t take any breaks during the 48 hours.
According to the rules of the bet, Bilzerian has to start the ride by March 31, which means he won’t have a lot of time for professional preparation.
Bilzerian also decided to offer $10,000 Samantha Abernathy (this year’s Aussie Millions third place finisher) to make the same trip in 72 hours.
