The event will run between December 10 – 15 with a R$500 ($130) buy-in and a R$500,000 ($130,000) guarantee, several Brazilian pros including Bruno Politano, Nicholas Villa-Lobos and Bruno Kawauti have already confirmed their attendance.

The Mineirao is one of Brazil’s most famous stadiums in Brazil and the biggest one in Minas Gerais state. The original stadium opened on September 5, 1965 and has recently hosted several matches during the 2014 World Championship.

It has a capacity of more than 58,000 people and it will also host High Roller, Turbo Deep Stack, Second Chance and Last Chance tournaments.

The first poker tournament organized in a stadium was the infamous ISPT (International Stadiums Poker Tour) at Wembley Stadium which was a huge failure, the organizers had to add €589,000 to the prize pool to meet the guarantee.

This tournament has a much smaller guarantee so it is much more likely that the guarantee will be met, especially if we consider that 888poker is running online satellites from just $0,01.
