There are plenty of big names left in the field of the EPT Malta Main Event with 23 players left, including 2014 WCOOP Main Event champion Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz and 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure winner Dominik Panka. The chipleader is Antonin Duda, who is coming off an online hot streak of winning the The Sunday Major and The Sunday Brawl on Full Tilt earlier this month for more than $62,000.
The plan for Day 4 of the Main Event was to play down to 16 players but when the five 90 minute levels were over, 23 players remained. A lot of big names were eliminated however, including Yann "yadio" Dion, JC Alvarado, Liviu "0Human0" Ignat and Sam Chartier, who was eliminated in a cooler after his A-A failed to hold up against Mateusz Moolhuizen’s K-K.
By the end of the day there were 23 players left, on Day 5 the plan is to play down to the official 8-handed final table. Some of the big names besides Holz and Panka include Sergio Aido, Hossein Ensan and EPT10 London champion Robin Ylitalo.
The total prizepool of the event is €4.340.750 with €810,400 going to the winner!
