In a recent chat between Dani ’Ansky’ Stern and Daniel ’jungleman12’ Cates, appearing on a 2+2 thread, jungleman states there is currently a break in Durrrr Challenge 2. There is no action since 16th December, which means it might turn deep into January, 2011 until the challenge is up and running again.
A conversation between Dani ’Ansky’ Stern and Daniel ’jungleman12’ Cates has been put on the 2+2 forum, and it seems we have a break in the ongoing Durrrr Challenge 2. To Ansky’s question “Are you and Tom playing any time soon?” jungleman replied: “idk… Seems like there will be a big hiatus… Tom is hard to work with.” The challenge is offline since 16th December, and 2010 is obviously not going to see any more action here either.
Many posters are pretty critical of durrrr for not approaching this “in a more professional way,” saying Full Tilt Poker had to intervene already, giving it a push and now he is basically letting them down again. It is also suggested that time limits should be introduced to challenges like this. Still, most concluded that there are additional commitments as well as his loving family that he wants to put, quite understandably, before playing the challenge. Spending Christmas with your loved ones, in my opinion, is definitely a top priority over a couple of hands to be played.
Anyway, Durrrr Challenge 2 currently stands at 14,190 hands played out of the 50,000 needed to finish it. Cates is ahead by around $500,000 and if it stays that way after the last hand, he can keep any winnings in addition to the $1.5 million reward; if, however, Dwan can turn the tide, he is the one receiving a $500,000 cheque from jungleman.
