310 players returned for Day 2 of the EPT Grand Final Main Event, and 11 players entered before the start of the day, creating a prize pool of €5.640.000. The winner will take home €1.082.000, and there are still a lot of big names in the field chasing the title, including Ole Schemion, who finished as the chip leader, Christopher Frank, Jason Mercier, Vanessa Selbst, Isaac Haxton and more. A total of 564 players registered this year for the EPT Grand Final Main Event, including several superstars who joined the field at the beginning of Day 2. Daniel Negreanu, Igor Kurganov, Max Altergott and Dzmitry Urbanovich all started with a 30,000 stack at the 400/800 blind level. Phil Ivey was scheduled to play in the event aswell, but decided to unregister shortly before start.

Negreanu didn’t last long, he was eliminated after roughly 1,5 hours, he called all-in with K-K on a board of T-6-2-J-A with a busted flush draw. Unfortunately for him, Astapau showed J-J for a turned set.

Liv Boeree, Fatima Moreira De Melo, Jake Cody, Martin Jacobson and Jean-Noel Thorel were also eliminated, but a lot of big names also advanced to Day 3, including Vanessa Selbst, Isaac Haxton, Jason Mercier, Johnny Lodden.
