16 players returned for Day 5 of the EPT Dublin €5,300 Main Event, the chip leader was Irishman Patrick Clarcke with 2,950,000 chips, but Dzmitry Urbanovich, Rhys ”floppinhel” Jones and Adrian Mateos were also in the hunt for the €561,900 first place prize.
Play started on Level 24 (12,000/24,000 – 3,000 ante), the first elimination of the day was Christopher Kruk, he was soon followed by Jiachen Gong, Frank Williams, Tomas MacNamara, Matias Ruzzi and Alex Goulder.
EPT Grand Final champ Adrian Mateos was eliminated in 10th place during Level 25 (15,000/30,000 – 4,000 ante). He got his stack in with 7-7 on a 9-7-6 flop against Jones’ 9-8, unfortunately for him Jones hit a five on the river to make a straight.
After his elimination players continued on one table. The next the elimination was Mikhail Petrov, he was soon followed by Ivan Banic and Alexandre Meylan.
Urbanovich will start the 6-handed final table with 5,125,000 chips as the chipleader, while Jones is the shortstack with 740,000.
