Big One champion Antonio Esfandiari decided not to live for an entire year without having sex after all and bought himself out of the bet.
In August, Antonio Esfandiari made one of the most insane prop bets of late: he said he would last an entire year without sex of any kind. One of his friends, dollar millionaire hedge fund manager and recreational poker player Bill Perkins announced the bet via his Twitter.
“Big bet again…..antonio esfandiari no sex no release of any kind for one year…can he make it?” He wrote at the time.
Even though no details or any piece of relevant, official information surfaced about the bet, several sources mentioned a stake of $500,000.
Recently, however, it has been confirmed that Esfandiari failed the bet; the Big One champion was invited to anchor and comment the WSOP Main Event Final Table, where he got the question about the abstinence prop bet. He confirmed its existence but he also said he had since bought himself out, without willing to mention exact amounts.
Before the prop bet, ‘The Magician’ had had another failed one: he was supposed not to eat bread for a year but he failed that after only 5 minutes. Back then, he paid $5,000 while the bet was on for $25,000.
