Both in terms of the international market and including the regulated ones, Full Tilt Poker is not far from losing its Top 5 position on the online cash game traffic list.

Despite constantly introduced new features, like the Take It Down promotion, the Flipout Tournaments before that, or a planned venture into the online casino market, Full Tilt has been less and less able to maintain its player pool and is slowly getting taken over by PokerStars Italy as well as Bodog on the international market. The Top 5 position of the renowned room is, therefore, now in definite danger in terms of average online cash game traffic.

Regardless of operating on a declining market, PokerStars.it has, on the other hand, managed to maintain a steady average of 1,750 cash game players, while FTP has experienced a 36% decrease from around 2,500 in January. During the PokerStars Road to 5 Billion hands promotion in Italy, the regulated skin has even surpassed Full Tilt on the traffic list, if for just a short while. At the moment, however, the marginal difference of about 50 players on average is apparently representing a more solid trend, as PokerFuse.com reports.

In a response, FTP first announced the Flipout Tournaments, where players automatically go all in to qualify for a second round, where all who make it are already in the money and can play a normal freezout phase for the first prize. Later, a cash game campaign titled Build Your Bonus was launched, and then came Take It Down, a promotion where $1,800 is handed out daily among players based on how many raked pots they have won, where at least three players were involved.

Additionally, on the international market, Bodog is not far behind either. While not providing services on the .com client, Bodog.eu is operating and generating a traffic that has surpassed that of Full Tilt in the 24-hours peak comparison by almost 1,000 players and is neck and neck with PokerStars.it on a 7-day average.

While the competition is largely in-house, the Rational Group is probably already working on a solution for Full Tilt; a good chance it will arrive in the form of a full-fledged casino offering.
