9 TheMakrill7 Sweden $111,063

The first player to be busted from the final table was Sweden’s ‘TheMakrill7’ who received $111,063 for his performance. He was followed by ‘mogilmiranda’ who is located in Germany. His eighth-place finish worthed $155,805 this time.

Estonian grinder, ‘Leitnant’ was the next to go, increasing his bankroll by $218,572. Thanks to the huge pay jumps, each of the remaining six players were now guaranteed for at least a $306,624 payday – which landed at Belgium’s ‘XmorphineX’ balance.

Starting the final day with the second smallest stack, Hungarian ’19Pistike93′ managed to outlast several of his peers, laddering up to 5th place, which earned him $403,148. Fellow Estonian player ‘NeedBeat’ got what he wished for and was busted in 4th place. However, the $603,434 coming with the 4th place seems like a pretty nice consolation prize.

Close but no cigar for Shakerchi

Shakerchi was only two players away from the historical achievement, but he eventually had to settle for 3rd place and $846,528.35. In his final hand, he opened with K-J of clubs and got three-bet by ‘BigBlindBets’, who held A-J of diamonds. The money got into the middle and the flop, which brought two aces pretty much sealed the deal for the Englishman.

‘BigBlindBets’ started the heads-up with a 7-1 chip lead over ‘dans170’. Even though he was in a good shape when the two got it in, the A-K couldn’t manage to hold against A-2 and the tournament was over. The high-stakes cash game crusher took down the event and the $1,665,962.04 coming with it, while Danilo added $1,187,553.01 to his bankroll.
