As soon as the WSOP finished in Las Vegas, the organizers of the event, Caesars Entertainment, announced that the European leg of the Series, the WSOP Europe, will be held in Berlin in 2015.

Back in November 2013, Caesars Entertainment has announced that they will organize the WSOP Europe (WSOPE) and the WSOP Asian-Pacific (WSOP APAC) every two years instead of yearly installments. This year they organized the APAC, so next year is a WSOPE year.

The 2013 WSOPE was held in Paris, before that Cannes and London hosted the event, and on November 12, Caesars announced on Twitter that the new location will be Berlin.

Berlin is not a new location on the live tournament scene, it hosted European Poker Tour (EPT) events between 2009-2013, and it only ended because of the German regulation, that prohibits online poker rooms from advertising, and PokerStars (the company behind the EPT) decided to look for a new location.

The WSOP has no such problems, and will organize the WSOPE in October 2015, the host casino has not been revealed yet, but most likely it is going to be either the Spielbank or the Hyatt casinos.
