iPoker has merged the iPoker 1 and the iPoker 2 networks in off-peak hours since December 10. There was no prior notice and it is unknown how long the situation will remain like this or whether a full merger can be expected in the future.

Several players have reported that during certain times of the day, the iPoker 1 and iPoker 2  networks are merged and that the network has given no prior notice regarding this.

The iPoker network has split in September 2012, they created a premium (iPoker 2) and a secondary (iPoker 1) network, and the rooms in the network had to meet certain criteria to be a part of the premium netowrk.

Premium rooms have to have at least 6,000 active real money players every month (active player means at least $1 rake generated), they need 850 new real money players to register every month, but the players’ money balances and the regular-fish ratio is also taken into consideration.

In case one of the rooms fails to meet the criteria they will be transferred to the secondary network.

Boyle Poker, one of the rooms in the iPoker 1 network has confirmed the news, they are using the Merge feature during the off-peak hours:

Merged: 07:10 – 16:10 (CET)
Seperate: 16:10 – 07:10 (CET

According to Boyle Poker, they are going to use the feature until withdrawal. There are no exact plans when the feature will be withdrawn or whether a full merger is going to happen in the future.

As we have previously reported, iPoker is planning to introduce a new rake system in 2015 and many players on the forums have theorized that the new rake system and the Merge feature indicate that the two networks will eventually become one again.
