As Rakerace.com reported earlier in June, the iPoker network will separate on 4 September, following a network segregation policy. The division of the network into two distinct tiers will be based on performance of the rooms. iPoker requirements to a Poker room were the following: 6,000 active players grinding at its tables (active meaning generating at least $1 rake) plus 850 new real money players each month,  and they also considered player’s balances and the regular-fish ratio. If a room does not qualify, it will be moved from the primary to the secondary network.

According to the official press release the separation will be effective on 4 September, but the list of the rooms in the primary network is not yet public.

It is public, however, which games will be affected by the segregation.

Cash Game:

Regular cash game tables will be separated, but the Speed games (Speed Hold’em / Speed Omaha) will continue to be open to all the players in the networks.

Separated cash games:

– NLH HU, 0.02/0.04 and above, all currencies
– NLH 6-Max, 0.01/0.02 to 2/4, all currencies
– NLH Full Ring, 0.01/0.02 to 1/2 all currencies

Further cash games will be available to all players of the iPoker network.

SNG:

At SNGs, only the regular games will be separated, the jackpot, satellite SNG games will available to the entire network.

Separated SNG games:

– NLH HU SNG, to $30/€30/£30 buy-in
– NLH 6/9 fős SNG, to $10/€10/£10 buy-in

Further SNG games will be available to all players of the iPoker network.

iPoker’s owner Playtech aims to create a poker network that is filled with recreational players who can play with their bankrolls for much longer because of the weaker field, which will result in a more fun gameplay.
