The Malaysian pro beat King’s Casino’s most winningest player heads-up.

Right after the WSOPE €100,000 Super High Roller ended with Martin Kabrhel coming out on top, another tournament kicked off with sky-high stakes. The Leon’s High Roller (named after the owner of King’s Casino, Leon Tsoukernik, who hosted the event) generated 33 entries, and it only needed nine hours for the players to get things done.

Instead of the original 60-minute levels, the organizers decided to change the tournament to a one-day event with 30-minute blind levels, with the first three levels erased, due to the lack of interest at the beginning. Thanks to the changes in the structure, more players were willing to join, and the game began.

The field contained the "usual suspects". Because of the location, the number of German high-rollers was even higher than usual and the guys were joined by a couple of the Triton Poker players.

There were several participants, who used more than one bullet, with Leon, David Peters and Timothy Adams each entered three times. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to run up a stack and hit the rail fairly early. Others to leave empty-handed were: Matt Kirk, Mikita Badziakouski, Ole Schemion, Stefan Schillhabel, Matthis Eibinger, and Adrian Mateos.

Close, but no cigar

After the late registration ended, the field reduced rather quickly, up until the money bubble. It took two hours for the bubble to burst, with Manig Löser becoming the unlucky bubble boy. At this point, the winner of the WSOPE €100K SHR, Martin Kabrhel held the chip lead. The short stacks failed to double up.

Leow score a double-knockout when his Ace-Queen held against both Dominik Nitsche‘s and Tony G’s hand in a preflop all-in hand. Dom got 5th for €237,038, while Tony G 4th for €351,579.

A few moments later Martin shoved all-in on the button, got called by Soyza in the small blind with only 4 big blinds. Ivan in the big blind picked up with aces and managed to bust Soyza while also doubling up on Martin.

The heads-up started with Kabrhel holding a slight chip lead over Leow, but an unsuccessful bluff quickly changed this and Ivan was finally able to close things out.

This €1,251,455 payday is his biggest ever cash, which increases his lifetime earnings to $5,557,581. After winning €2,624,340 a day earlier, Martin added another €773,457 to his bankroll.
