As I promised, I am back with some news on Liv Boeree, who has recently parted with her previous sponsor, UB. There were rumors which poker room might take her, the community talked about Full Tilt, PokerStars or PartyPoker. Well now the guessing is over, Liv signed with PokerStars, so she’s the newest PokerStars Pro.
She signed with UB in August 2009, when she was mainly known for her beauty, but after she won the EPT San Remo in Italy scoring $1,698,000, she became much more accepted as a good and profitable poker player. Her total winnings approach $2 million, and she has had success online as well.
"It’s more of an honour than I can really describe. It’s something I’ve been aspiring towards ever since I learned about the world of poker, and I am over the moon to be achieving such a huge personal goal! (…) I hope to grow my game as far as possible by studying and playing as much as I can. I’ll also hopefully get to use the wonderful resource of the other Team Pros – some of the greatest poker minds in the game! Hopefully I’ll use this to produce further results and make the Team proud!" – She told in the interview at the PokerStars blog.
