The mentally troubled pro disappeared on June 16 and has not used his credit card since then.
Matt ”ADZ124” Marafioti a very successful young poker player famous for his erratic behaviour, drug problems and behaviour issues. Last November he posted conspiracy theories and weird status updates on Facebook, claiming his life was in danger and that he can’t trust his family.
Many players believed that his Facebook account was hacked but it turned out that Marafioti was actually in a mental hospital. Although Marafioti was previously heavily judged by the poker community for his action, when the news surfaced everyone showed support for him and his situation.
Since then, Marafioti has been staying out of the spotlight, but on July 13 one if his friends, Randy Dorfman posted the following on Twitter. ”Important! If anyone knows about Matt Marafiotis whereabouts, please tell me. We haven’t heard from him since June and his family is very worried. Please, share! ”
Marafioti was last seen on June 16 at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas. For a while he was with his girlfriend but has since disappeared. Even more worrying, his credit card shows no activity since his disappearance. Police are already involved in the search for Marafioti.
