The Universal Championship of Poker will run between September 4 – 11 with a total of 24 events and €500,000 in guaranteed prize pools.
Last September, the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) launched their own online tournament series, the Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP). The inaugural series kicked off with 12 events and €200,000 in guaranteed prize pools and was a big success.
As we have previously reported, the network has been steadily growing for the past two years so it’s no surprise that this year’s UCOP will also be much bigger.
The 2016 UCOP will run between September 4 – 11 with a €500,000 guarantee spread out across 24 events.
In addition to No Limit Hold’em tournaments, players can also participate in Pot/Fix Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw tournaments.
The series will culminate with the €330 buy-in Main Event, which will sport a €75,000 guarantee and a deep structure.

The network is also running a UCOP Leaderboard promotion where the winner will be taking home €10,000 and a trophy reserved for "The Greatest Poker Player in the Universe". There are 9 additional paying spots on the leaderboard, check out the prizes below:
