After winning the Main Event in Montenegro just a few months ago, Mikita triumphs in Jeju as well.

"This is obviously the biggest score but, at the same time, there is nothing special about it. It’s just about making good decisions, being a good player,"

The HK$2,000,000 Main Event generated a total of 55 entries, to increase the prize pool to HK$110,000,000($14,018,739), with HK$41,250,000 ($5,257,027) for the winner.

Mikita started the tournament pretty strong, he bagged one of the biggest stacks after the first day. He came back and despite a few unlucky hands, managed to close out the featured event of the series.

The six-handed final table saw a nice mix of top-notch players and wealthy recreationals. The first player to bust was Spain’s Sergio Aido. Sergio walked away with a paycheck of HKD6,490,000 ($826,858).

Even though Jason Koon was the one to bust Aido, he couldn’t stay much longer either, as Mikita busted him in 5th place. Jason added HKD8,470,000 ($1,079,120) to his all-time winnings, which now stand at $22,068,280.

Badziakouski kept on dominating, he busted Sam Greenwood in 4th place and the founder of the series, Richard Yong in third. Sam earned HKD11,550,000 ($1,471,528), while Richard picked up HKD16,720,000 ($2,130,212).

The Belarusian started the duel with a 5:1 chip advantage over Malaysia’s Wai Leong Chan and shortly ended what the started. In the final hand, he managed to win a coin flip in the final hand when his Ace-Queen flopped top pair against the sixes of Chan’s.

With this $5,257,027 win, Mikita increased his all-time earnings up to $16,677,901, while Wai Leong also booked his biggest ever payday in form of a $3,252,348 score.

While most people believe money is the only thing counts, Mikita says otherwise. When asked about what motivates him, he underlined the strategic aspect of the game: "I think that has been the biggest motivation for me for a long time. Just to be trying to do my best and that’s it,"
