A new application for Android devices offers the opportunity to users to define odds in live poker games.
A new app for Android smartphones and tablets has been released to calculate odds at live poker games: this is the Poker Odds Camera. All it takes with the software to take a picture of the cards on the table and the app calculates your odds.
The application handles two as well as multi-way all-in situations and we can calculate odds for every individual street; even in the case of a river shove, we can see where we stood on the flop or the turn.
Before the showdown, if we think we have a clue of what our opponent or opponents may hold, we can manually give the assumed hand and the software can display our odds based on the information given. In addition to specific cards, complete ranges can be typed in to see our chances against them.
The application is free of charge and can be downloaded from the Google Play store to devices that run Android 3.0 or newer versions of the operating system.
At the moment, you can only calculate your chances with the Poker Odds Camera in Hold’em games but an Omaha version of the app is planned to release soon.

Of course, the practicability of such an app at any other game than a friendly poker night is debatable, although combined with something like a Google Glass, it can have its perks. What do you think?
