Partypoker New Jersey is organizing the Garden State Super Series between September 7 – 21. The tournament series has a total of $1 million guaranteed spread out through 60 tournaments. Yesterday, due to technical difficulties, the site crashed and could not be restored, several tournaments got cancelled, including the $1,000 buy-in Main Event.

After several tournaments have been interrupted due to technical difficulties, partypoker decided to cancel the events and refund the remaining players, based on their cancellation policy. Many players have expressed their disappointment with partypoker following the incident, and believe that this is a very bad step for the New Jersey poker scene, since this was the biggest tournament series organized ever since online poker has been legalized in the USA.

With PokerStars supposedly entering the NJ market in a couple of months, this tournament series would have been the chance for partypoker get some good publicity and some new players, and increase the traffic of the site which still hasn’t quite recovered from the summer months.
