A heated debate has developed on the Twittersphere, as Allen Kessler shared a bet for the ongoing WSOP and many players showed interest.
It was ten-time bracelet winner, Doyle Brunson, who started the fireworks, when he tweeted the following:
Of course all the Daniel haters that say the little guy is a terrible player, pick someone against him to win bracelets this year. 100k max https://t.co/6R8lmqiBq9

As usual, the Godfather of poker put his money where his mouth is and Marvin Karlins, the author of "A Chip and a Prayer" was quick to reply:
I’ll take Phil Hellmuth to win more bracelets during the 2018 @wsop than Daniel Negreanu for 10K. If neither win one, or they tie, the bet is off. Tweet me back if you want to take this bet.

Not surprisingly, the poker community wasted no time to throw their two cents in. After Allen Kessler shared the bet, people with wide variety of arguments responded. Some people think the 14-time bracelet winner, Hellmuth still has it as he proved many times in the past:
How many times in the last 15 years they say hellmuth can’t do it any more than he does. Every two year drought they say he’s out of touch with today then he wins again. If it’s a small field they say it was small. Big field they say it was amateurs. Then he finishes second 50k

However, others were not so impressed by the Poker Brat’s game:
@RealKidPoker 100%, @phil_hellmuth spending too much time doing everything but working on his washed up game.

Hellmuth has the numbers on his side as he holds the record of the most cashes at the series and the most bracelets, but his non-theoretical, unique style makes many people believe he’s outclassed by today’s standards.
Daniel, however, has already made a deep run in the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl, allegedly has been working hard in the lab.
