Jennifer Shahade is a two-time American women’s chess champion and poker player, who participated in the first ever poker/chess mix heads-up tournament that was held at the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Isle of Man stop. She played three different poker and chess opponents at the same time, moving around the tables while her opponents were thinking how to play their hand/turn, which is quite an impressive feat even when you don’t have to battle heads-up poker geniuses like Ike Haxton as well as various chess grandmasters. In the end, she won 5 of the 6 battles, only losing one of the poker matches.
