WSOP 2010 is not kind to many of the big names, now including living legend Doyle Brunson as well. Although he made it to Day 2 six times out of eight tournaments he played, he couldn’t cash a cent.

Brunson, winner of 10 WSOP bracelets, including 2 Main Event wins, is also haunted by a prolonged period of constant visits to the dentist: “Those gum treatments were supposed to be over in 4-5 months, but this has taken already eight months. I’ve got seven implants in my mouth which feels like getting on a carousel and not being able to get off.

At least his ‘dream team’ of young titans, The Brunson 10 is evolving firmly: the latest (7th) addition is Dan “djk123″ Kelly, who won the $25,000 NLHE 6-max.

Brunson is also engaged in ‘broadcasting’ his Main Event performance on Twitter. So far, however, hardly anything more has been tweeted than his assessment of his fellow players, all being over 40, and later that he is tired and wants to go to bed.

It is good to see Brunson still has what it takes to be a poker pro, and is not afraid to pass the ground to the younger generations, so let’s just hope he also has a win left or two. For old times’ sake.
