Although initially there were some doubts about its success, Poker Night America is now starting its 5th season on CBS Sports Network. Although it is true that the series is not as big of a hit as the show High Stakes Poker or Poker After Dark was, and it’s not as innovative as the Big Game, nonetheless it does have a significant audience that made it possible to last five seasons.
The creators of the program put together a nice mixture of poker pros and poker enthusiast celebrities.
Episode 1 of Season 5 was taped at the Rivers Casino, at Pittsburgh, PA with Shaun Deeb, Bobby Noel, Matt Glantz, Jennifer Tilly, Jack Schambacher, Maria Ho and Jason Andrews battling it out at the high stakes cash table – minimum buy-in $5,000.
