Interestingly enough, Sega, one of the biggest gaming companies in the World closed down its relatively new site, Sega Casino. The site was launched this March and was powered by Playtech. On the site the company offered 125 games including slots, blackjack, poker, and themed Sega games such as Virtua Fighter and House of the Dead.
There is only a note to existing customers at segacasino.com:

"We are no longer accepting registration/deposits from your jurisdiction.
Existing customers – if you are an existing Sega Games customer, please click
here to access your account to withdraw your funds. All remaining funds will be
automatically credited back to your deposit method, effective September 15th."

What’s interesting about this it is not easy (if not virtually impossible), even for a gaming giant such as Sega to enter the online gambling business and try to compete with not just the largest sites like PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, but even the smallest online poker rooms.

Rest in Peace, Sega Casino!
