The German high-roller regular beat 24 of his peers to claim the $493,000 first prize.

Only a few days after the PCA, players were already busy playing for the highest stakes again. Many of the PCA champions flew to Hollywood, FL to jump into the $50K Super High Roller.

A total of 25 players entered the $1 million GTD event. Each of them was top pros, so the tournament turned out to be one of the toughest on the circuit. Although according to the original schedule dealing should’ve stopped after the 14th blind level, the players decided to play a bit more, to see if they can burst the bubble.

This time it was Ben Tollerene, who came closest to the cash but couldn’t put his hands on it. Ben busted in 6th place and became the bubble boy of the event. 5 players made the money, to lock at least $98,600.

It was David Peters, who had the shortest stack and couldn’t manage to make a comeback. He finished in 5th place for the "mincash".

David was followed by Nick Petrangelo, who took down PokerStars Championship Player of the Year event at the Bahamas. Nick got $135,575 for his efforts.

Justin Bonomo stabilized his 14th rank on the all-time money list, as he added $197,200 to his earnings by finishing 3rd.

The heads-up play started with two young wunderkinds, Spaniard Adrian Mateos and Germany’s Stefan Schillhabel. The two has more than $20.5 million in combined live tournament earnings.
The duel took almost 2.5 hours with the lead changing several times. They finally put their money into the middle on the turn on an eight-seven-three-ten board, where Adrian had Q-8 for a pair of eights, while Stefan flopped two pairs holding 7-3. The six on the river made no difference and Mateos became the runner-up for $308,125, while Schillhabel won the trophy and the $493,000 first place prize.

"And that final table, I think it was the toughest final table I’ve ever played," Schillhabel told SHRPO reporter Allen Rash. Schillhabel is now 10th on Germany’s all-time money list, with $8,632,702 in earnings.
