As the biggest high-rollers were gathering in Manila, onlookers met with a familiar face.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan was MIA for a long time now, the only reliable information was that he lived in Asia for quite some time. Naturally, this generated lots of unnecessary gossip, such as being kidnapped, working for the Triads, going bankrupt, and paying from loans. Actually, everything is fine for him.

At one point always drawn to the poker spotlight, he has now been keeping away from big poker festivals, even missing the WSOP for the last couple of years. However, he has somewhat suprisingly shown up at the Triton Super High Roller Series Manila, doing just fine.

According to some sources, he is still playing in the highest Asian VIP games, where pros are rarely welcome.

Winfred Yu, president of the Poker King Club said: "Tom is always welcomed in the high stakes games, because he is a cool guy, and his playing style generates lots of action. And VIP players love lots of action. I have heard many rumors, including being kidnapped, Triad connections, being bankrupt, but none of that is true."

Durrrr has even relocated to the Philippines, as the biggest games are currently running in Manila instead of Macau. He did not however cash in the Triton Super High Roller Series. He played in the Suncity Cup HKD 200K Freezeout event with a late reg, but after an early double-up, he lost with pocket Kings against A7. After the unlucky hand, he joined the cash game section in the VIP room.

The tournament was eventually won by his arch rival, Daniel "jungleman" Cates, for the equivalent of $359,229.
