Online tournament grinders have plenty of great series to choose from throughout the year – Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), MicroMillions, Full Tilt Online Poker series, but the most prestigious of them all is the World Championship of Online Poker. The WCOOP kicks off this Sunday and has a guaranteed prizepool of $40 million, spread out through 66 events.

The first event in the schedule is a $109 NL Holdem tournament with $700,000 guaranteed, which is the lowest buy-in in the series, the other tournaments cost anywhere from $215 to $10,300. Last year, the $40 million guarantee was smashed, and there is no reason to think this trend won’t continue, the entry numbers for WCOOP have been on a steady rise in the past 3 years.

The series’ highlight is the $5,300 buy-in WCOOP Main Event, which has a $10,000,000 guarantee, with at least $1.5 million going to the winner.

In the past, the Main Event has been won by poker legends such as Yevgeniy "Jovail  Gent" Timoshenko, Carter "ckingusc" King, and J.C. "area23JC" Tran, amongst others, and the final table is always one of the most exciting tournaments to rail. PokerStars knows this, so this year they are going to do a live commentary (with 10 minute delay on the action).

The 5th-3rd place finishers receive TCOOP 2015 Main Event tickets, the 2nd place gets a 2015 PCA package in addition to the TCOOP ME ticket, and the first place finisher gets a winner’s trophy, a 2015 PCA package, a 2015 EPT Grand Final package, and of course the 2015 TCOOP ME ticket.

The series is running between September 7-28, and satellites are already available for the events, you can qualify from as little as 1FPP, you can see the full schedule by clicking on this link.
