WSOP 2015 – David Jackson bags biggest stack on Day 2C, Hellmuth and Negreanu advance to Day 3 A massive field of 2,765 players started Day 2C of the WSOP Main Event and after 10 hours of play more than 1,000 players were eliminated, including Phil Ivey, Bertrand ”ElkY” Grospellier, Anthony Zinno and former champions Peter Eastgate and Jamie Gold. American player David Jackson built the biggest stack, but Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem, Phil Hellmuth and Ryan Riess also advanced to Day 3.
On Friday the remaining players from Day 2AB and the survivors of Day 2C will sit together and play for the 1,000 payings spots and there are plenty of big names still left in the field.
There are a total of 6 former champions still in, Joe Hachem is trying to go deep on the 10-year anniversary of his Main Event win, but 2013 champ Ryan Riess, Phil Hellmuth, Jim Bechtel, Scotty Nguyen have also advanced to Day 3.
There were several celebrities in the field, Everyone Loves Raymond star Ray Romano was eliminated, but his co-star Brad Garrett is still in.
Several big names were also eliminated, including David Benyamine, Barry Greenstein, Greg Mueller, Mike Leah, Phil Ivey, Michael ”The Grinder” Mizrachi, Calvin Anderson, Kathy Liebert, Sam Trickett, Jason Somerville and more.
