On Day 2 of the PokerStars EPT Barcelona €50,000 Super High Roller event, players still had the opportunity to buy or re-buy entries, which resulted in a total player pool of 64 and a total prize pool of €3,072,960.

The event day saw it played down to the 8-handed final table, which is also the money bubble, the bubble boy being Artem Litvinov. On Level 16 (4,000/15,000/30,000), Smith opened to 65,000, Litvinov shoved with 159,000 and Smith called:

Smith: {#}A {#}K
Litvinov: {#}A {#}T

Board: {#}4 {#}4 {#}3 {#}Q {#}8

Smith won with a top kicker.

The hand also made Smith the chipleader of the particularly strong finale, slightly ahead of Mike ‘Timex’ McDonald.
