You may remember Ali Tekintamgac, the player who got disqualified from the Partouche Poker Tour after investigations revealed that he had probably cheated on several occasions, having “journalists” and “cameramen” signal him his opponents’ hands. Tekintamgac is now an entree at the WPT Championship which is the source of a considerable amount of tension.

Daniel Negreanu’s picture of Ali and his comment:
"This is a picture of the cheater. Its mind boggling that HE is being protected. Makes no sense."

November, 2010 was all about Ali Tekintamgac (apart from the November Nine, of course) and the way he made it to the highest finishes of several major events. Ali’s journalists – as I reported and showed it also on video – used the following system to aid him:

Crown = Ace
Forehead = King
Nose = Queen
Mouth = Jack
Chin = 10
Neck = 9
Chest = 8
Stomach = 7

Considering his troubled history, it is little wonder that Tekintamgac showing up at the WPT Championship, for which he automatically qualified by winning the 2010 WPT Spanish Championship, caused serious controversy.

A tweet from Negreanu:

“Ali Tekimtamgac who was caught cheating in Partouche is in #WPTChamp I called him out, and floor told ME I can’t do that! When will we learn”

And one from Jess Welman:

“scott_seiver just warned the entire table that a cheater is seated w/ them referring to Ali Tekintamgac. Bit awkward @ the tbl now…”

Negreanu then carried on to state that he is extremely upset by the presence of the cheater, who could just threaten Scott Seiver after his remarks on him and go unpunished by the floormen. The Canadian pro also promised to do everything he could to keep Tekintamgac from entering this year’s WSOP.
