Men Nguyen the Vietnamese poker professional also known as "The Master", has something to smile about this week after winning  the $10,000 buy-in Seven Card Stud World Championship and securing his 7th WSOP gold bracelet. His win came in his favourite form of poker so there was no surprise when he was quoted saying: “This is my game….I love to play Stud. Believe me, in any Stud tournament I will be there to play against the best in the world.”

The final table of the poker tournament saw a heads-up match between Men Nguyen and Brandon Adams who battle it out for the number one spot. But in the end it came down to Nguyen’s king of pair that crushed Adam’s pair of queens, giving "The Master" the number one spot and the $395,000 first place prize.

This win adds to Nguyen’s total of 67 WSOP money finishes to the 56 year old poker pro. Upon winning, he told WSOP officials why the seventh bracelet meant so much to him by saying “This is very, very big for me. The last two bracelets I won were in 2003, and now it’s 2010. I have not won any bracelets because a lot of people have come into our poker world. I haven’t won because it’s kind of hard now. It’s hard to break through.”.

According to official records, Nguyen now has seven wins, 38 final table appearances, and 67 cashes at the WSOP. His career WSOP earnings now total $2,193,358. With his 67 cashes during his WSOP career, which currently ranks second on the all-time list (Phil Hellmuth leads with 76).
