‘Tight-Man1’ won $610,000 in a $400/$800 NLHE 6-max action in the weekend. The unknown player has $1.4 million in profits in July, which puts him slightly ahead of Isilfur1 on the monthly money list.
With the World Series of Poker coming to an end for the summer, players start to return to the online tables. Even as the high stakes field has seen great action during the WSOP, things are really speeding up in July. In the first week of the month, Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom dominated the game, winning over $2 million. He has been very active ever since but his results show the usual swings with his monthly total remaining around $1.4 million.
Blom’s profits were cut last weekend, losing $253,506 in a $400/$800 NLHE 6-max session. Still, he was not the biggest loser of the day at all: ‘MalACEsia’ lost $858,478 to his opponents. The player from the Macau IP address is currently the primary target of the online high stakes shark, throwing away his money insanely fast. He appeared at the high stakes tables in May and is currently down $1.8 million, which makes him the 4th biggest loser of the year. A couple of weekend sessions like the last one might be enough for him to lose more than Gus Hansen.
The biggest winner of the weekend was ‘Tight-Man1’ with $610,576 in profits. His latest session put him slightly ahead of ‘Isildur1’ on the monthly money list with a $1,426,449 income in July. He was also the winner of the biggest pot of the day, $295,000.
In the hand, ‘Denoking’ posted the $400 SB and ‘Tight-Man1’ the $800 BB. ‘MalACEsia’ opened to $2,400 from UTG, ‘Isildur1’ called, ‘Rhje’ folded, ‘Trueteller’ called and ‘Denoking’ folded as well. ‘Tight-Man1’, however, 3-bet to $12,800, ‘MalACEsia’ folded, ‘Isildur1’ and ‘Trueteller’ called. The flop came 3:s K:c Q:s, ‘Tight-Man1’ and ‘Isildur1’ checked, ‘Trueteller’ bet $18,000, ‘Tight-Man1’ called and ‘Isildur1’ raised all-in for $226,588. ‘Trueteller’ folded and ‘Tight-Man1’ called all-in with $117,945.

‘Tight-Man1’, the true identity of whom remaining a mystery so far, appeared in the highest stakes online games in January, 2011 and he was active until the shutting down of Full Tilt Poker. He had no positive results, losing a total of $30,902 in 14,627 hands.
Early this year, ‘Tight-Man1’ returned to FTP and started with losing around $17,000 in 1,394 hands. He disappeared again and came back in July only; at the moment, he appears to be unbeatable on any stakes and by anybody. Of course, the monthly sample of his 4,826 hands is insufficient to come to long-term conclusions but his game is worth watching for in the following weeks.
Next to ‘Tight-Man1’, ‘Denoking’ has also been successful recently, his weekend session earning him $514,889. This makes him 3rd on the monthly profit list with an income of $826,763. The biggest winner of the year is still ‘Isildur1’ with $4.4 million in profits.
