More and more poker applications hit the mobile phone market with SwitchPoker’s recent development for the iPad/iPhone and the latest addition: Full Tilt Poker’s release for the Android.

Google Android applications: is Rush Poker to be added soon?

While the former currently offers only NLHE cash games, the latter will provide one of Full Tilt’s most popular formats, the Rush Poker. Following months of testing, it is assumed that FTP is ready to release the application in a few weeks’ time. What is more, this would be the very first real-money service provided by a major e-gaming company.

From a legislative point of view, mobile phone poker is basically not dealt with at all, which leaves it in a kind of “grey area.” Moreover, while the Android is definitely more popular and widespread in Europe, it might reach a considerably smaller group in the US, where “the majority of mobile phone users have BlackBerry and iPhones” (source: Gambling911).

Anyway, I think this is a nice addition to the poorly exploited market, where there is definitely more room for development.
