Renowned international poker action monitoring site Pocketfives.com has introduced a new leaderboard to its database: in addition to the already existing sliding, yearly, monthly and sortable PLBs, now you can observe the race of countries as well.
On the top of the leaderboard, which features 207 countries in total, stands the United States of America, even though US players have been unable to collect points since Black Friday. The runner-up is Canada, while the United Kingdom is the 3rd finisher. Brazil, Germany and Australia follow and the top 10 is complete with Hungary, Russia, Norway and Belgium.
Country PLB Top 20:
Only points collected by registered players contribute to the leaderboard rankings. Once again, the USA boasts the most registered Pocketfives members (38,479), followed by Canada (3,842), the United Kingdom (2,916), Australia (1,786) and France (1,269). Also above 1,000 members is Hungary and all these countries have made it to the top 20, except France that lingers at the 25th position.
If we break the points down to individual players, the top 20 is significantly altered. Russia comes first this way with 751 points/player, Australia a close second with 510 and Brazil finishes 3rd with 454.
Country PLB Top 20 (Points/Player):
For the sake of completeness, it is worth taking yet another look at the points, considering the population of the individual countries. Braking the points of the top 20 countries down to population, therefore, Denmark and the Republic of Ireland climb up to the top positions with 71 points/player/million inhabitants.
