462 players took part in the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event, with a prize pool of $2,151,072.

The buy-in for the event was $4800+$200, and poker players battling for the title included Barry Greenstein, Maria Ho, Tim Phan, Jerry Yang, Justin "BoostedJ" Smith, Jonathan Aguiar, Jason DeWitt, Lauren Kling, Allen Kessler, Joe Sebok, Tom Marchese, JC Alvarado, Steve Gross, David Oppenheim, Eric Lindgren, Chad Brown, Steven Burkholder, Scott Clements, Zachary Clark and Jonathan Little.

Despite the many poker celebrities taking part, the fourth day already began without any truly big names still in. The most well-known player was Jonathan Little, aiming to win the third WPT title of his career. In fact, he had quite good chances, as he started day 4 at the second place with 1,314,000 chips, only Andy Frankenberger being ahead of him with 1,958,000.

Little, however, did not make it to the final table in the end and lost his chips against Frankenberger. Andrew Frankenberger, the former broker took hold of a huge advantage with this win.

The six-handed final table was as follows:

Chair 1. Jared Jaffee – 1,006,000 (41 bb)
Chair 2. Kyle Wilson – 2,854,000 (118 bb)
Chair 3. Tom Lee – 2,915,000 (121 bb)
Chair 4. Franco Brunetti – 800,000 (33 bb)
Chair 5. Andy Frankenberger – 3,015,000 (125 bb)
Chair 6. Tom Braband – 968,000 (40 bb)

First to get eliminated was Franco Brunetti, the short-stack. Going all-in to Wilson’s raise with :cK :s3 preflop, Brunetti got called by Wilson (:h8 :c6), who received a :s6 on the flop, which proved to be enough to get Brunetti out of the game.

Jared Jaffee was the next one to bust, shortly followed by  Tom ’TitanTom32’ Braband, who lost his stack in a coinflip against Kyle Wilson.

Kyle Wilson – 3,870,000
Andy Frankenberger – 2,515,000

3-handed gameplay lasted for more than three and a half hours, when Lee’s two pairs weren’t enough against Frankenberger’s flush. Heads-up finally started.

Andy Frankenberger – 8,960,000
Kyle Wilson – 2,600,000

The heads-up match went on for 45 minutes, when Wilson shoved all-in preflop holding :dA :d3 and got called by Frankenberger with :cA :c9. The :d9 on the flop won him a WPT title and $750,000.
