The Final Table of the €10,400 WSOPE Main Event featured a line-up that showed off many of the most prominent online and live players of today. In the chiplead started the US online pro Elio ’smokrokflock’ Fox.
The players were dealt into Level 24 (5,000/15,000/30,000) and it only took 10 hands for the first elimination to occur. Moorman opened to 60,000 from CO, Max Silver 3-bet 165,000, Moorman 4-bet 365,000, Silver shoved and Moorman called.

Moorman: J J

After a couple of double ups – first, Brian Roberts on Moorman with pocket aces, then Shawn Buchanan on Dermot Blain, followed by Blain on Fox – Jake Cody was, to some surprise, eliminated in 7th place at Level 26 (5,000/25,000/50,000). Next out was Buchanan, followed by his eliminator Blain and, later on, Roberts.
In about ten minutes’ time, the heads-up was also set at Level 28 (10,000/40,000/80,000): Fox opened to 160,000 from the button, Moritz Kranich shoved his 1,600,000, Moorman folded and Fox called.
Kranich: 5 4
Fox: 9 9
Board: 7 6 2 A 4
Despite the flopped open-ended flush draw, Kranich was eliminated in 3rd place. The two players started the HU with the following stacks:
Elio Fox: 11,095,000
Chris Moorman: 6,720,000
Fox managed to further increase his lead; Moorman started the final hand with only 2,100,000. They shoved preflop.
Fox: A T
Moorman: A 7
Board: 4 3 6 6 8
Fox won the WSOPE 2011 Main Event for €1,400,000 and, of course, the coveted golden bracelet.
